Beginners' intensive PART III Sat 6.4. – Sun 7.4.

Welcome to the third part of the Argentine Tango beginners' intensive course on Saturday, April 6th, to Sunday, April 7th, 2024, at Flying Steps' studio. Instructor: Eeva-Mari Salminen.

SCHEDULE:

During the course, we will review the basics of Argentine Tango (such as caminata, salida, front and back ochos, ocho cortado), which were already introduced during the intensive beginners' weekends in February and March. We will learn more fundamental steps, such as medialuna and giro. We'll practice moving with your partner in abrazo (open dance position and close embrace) and deepen the dancers' own basic technique.

The course is suitable for everyone who has already started with the basics and serves as a good refresher for those at the intermediate level. You can sign up with a partner or individually. We aim to have an equal number of leaders and followers on the course, and partner rotation will be used during the classes. Please bring either flat or heeled dance/training shoes. Alternatively, you can practice in socks.
