Register and Privacy Statement in accordance with Section 10 of the Personal Data Act (523/1999) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA / PURPOSE OF THE REGISTER
The purpose of the register is to collect the necessary personal data required by Section 11 of the Association Act (503/1989) regarding the association's members and other relevant information for the association's activities. Contact and membership information is collected for the management of member affairs, communication, and billing purposes. Statistics may be compiled from the data, but individual members cannot be identified from these statistics.
4. CONTENT OF THE REGISTER
The register includes mandatory information required by Section 11 of the Association Act (503/1989), which includes the member's name and place of residence. Additionally, the following information may be collected: Contact information of members (email, phone number); Membership information (e.g., age group, membership in TYY, receipt of membership card); Membership fee information (invoiced and paid); Additional information (e.g., course registrations).
5. DATA SOURCES OF THE REGISTER
The information recorded in the member register is obtained through the member's own notification or via an electronic form.
6. DISCLOSURE AND TRANSFER OF DATA OUTSIDE THE EU OR THE ETA
The information stored in the register is not disclosed to third parties without the individual's separate consent, nor is it transferred outside the EU or EEA. An exception is the disclosure of participant information to instructors.
7. PRINCIPLES OF REGISTER PROTECTION
Personal data is kept confidential. Paper-based information is stored in locked facilities accessible only by authorized personnel. Temporarily collected personal data is promptly destroyed once its purpose has been fulfilled. Turku Swing Society Ry and the provider(s) of the register service ensure the maintenance of information security to the best of their ability.
8. RIGHT OF INSPECTION
Members have the right to know what information about them is recorded in the association's member register or if there is no information about them in the register. A request for access to information must be made in writing to the association's board. The requester's identity must be verified before the request is fulfilled.
9. CORRECTION OF REGISTER INFORMATION
Members are obligated to inform the register controller of any changes in their member information. The register controller corrects, deletes, or supplements erroneous, unnecessary, incomplete, or outdated personal data in the register on their own initiative or upon a written request from the data subject. If the member's information is stored in an electronic database with personal login credentials, the member may independently correct their information.
